Hey, My piano book has guitar cords how do i play the guitar part?

It’s avril lavigne i just got a guitar and i would like to learn how to play the guitar part
i understand how to read tabs but it says stuff like (5 ft) on the side of the guitar note
also… there’s a piano part and a singing part, right? is it playing the singing part? and if so….
do I pluck those notes? because i was only given one cord to play
